Saturday is the one morning I can sleep in, so don’t know why I am up at 5:30. Getting ready to add the Disney Dining Plan to our reservations. In case you’re not familiar, this was a great marketing scheme by Disney to keep you on property and eating at their restaurants. You pay a daily rate per person, and you enjoy 1-sit down meal, 1 counter service meal, and 1-snack. Turns out to be a pretty good deal actually if you factor in the actual cost of eating without the plan. Doesn’t sound like enough food for the day, but it really is.
We have reservations at Flying Fish Cafe at the Boardwalk, but other than that, no other advance reservations. Hope to eat at the new restaurant in Italy at Epcot, and we’re just going to wing it for the rest of the trip. Our daily snack is ice cream from “Boardwalk Sweets”, which we enjoy nightly sitting on our bench and people watching on the Boardwalk. We say it’s “our bench” because we sit on the same one, all the time. (sounds like old people-geez) What can I say? It’s my “happy place”.
On another note- third year in a row that I have been rejected by the Mickey Mom’s Panel. This is a group of men and women who answer travel planning questions for Disney guests. The application process is a few essay questions to test your writing skills and knowledge of Disney Trip Planning. For those of you that know me, Hello?, this is my dream job. I don’t know if this is a paid position, but it doesn’t matter, I would do it for free. I don’t know what the secret is, but I have yet to crack the code. I’m going to keep applying until I die.
Since I’m new to this blogging stuff, I need to figure out how to add more visual “eye candy” to make my page more interesting.
Stay tuned as I learn more. Thanks for reading.
