after all.  It’s a small world after all.  It’s a small world after all.  It’s a small, small world.   Songs that you can’t get out of your head.   I was inspired by a New York Times article that I read in Sunday’s paper regarding the 10 year birthday of iPod.  I love taking my iPod on vacation in order to drown our airplane noise or to just kick back at the pool.  Unfortunately, the author of this article has stated that an undesirable consequence of the iPod has made listening to music a purely solo experience.  Gone are the days when you would sit around with your friends, passing around the album cover (or other things) and studying the artwork.  When the record started everyone would listen intently together.  Several other interesting Q&A in the article.  To read the full text see “Related articles” below.

One of the questions was regarding “earworms”; songs that get stuck in your head.  How to get rid of earworms; Think of another song and hope that pushes the first one out.  The suggestion;  think of “It’s A Small World“.  Ooops, sorry, I think you’re stuck with this song in your head forever.

  1. Last year we got stuck on the Pooh dark ride. 35 minutes of:
‘And the rain, rin, rain came down, down, down…and something, somethintg Piglet’ over and over and over again. Now if the Hubs and I are in a non-moving line we start to sing it to each other!

  2. I don’t know. I think I would prefer Pooh to Small World, but gosh, 35 minutes is a LONG time.
